Founded in 1975, Merseyside Coatings Ltd has developed into a nationally respected company with specialist
skills in the area of shot/grit blasting, metal spraying, airless spraying, and the application of specialist
coatings, such as intumescent fire protective coatings.

The Company headquarters is situated in Widnes, Cheshire, and consists of 3 workshops of 60,000 square
feet and with a lifting capacity of 60 tonnes with overhead cranes. Merseyside Coatings has recently
acquired a new 4.8 acre site also in Widnes, which has been opened as a specialist Intumescent Division.
At this particular site there is currently one workshop of approximately 26,000 square feet.
The company also runs a specialist on-site division, with a team of highly skilled and motivated staff who
can take on large complicated projects anywhere in the UK. Merseyside Coatings Ltd strives to provide a

Merseyside Coatings Ltd has a site division management team with over 70 years experience and this
should reassure potential clients that they are dealing with personnel that can offer advice on all aspects
of coating preperation and application in various site environments. Commitment to meeting client's
demands is our priority and this is carried out in a speedy and professional manner.
MCL management offer clients a bespoke package from initial meeting either at the client's office or
preferably on-site through to final completion and handover of the work carried out.
MCL's site division supports MCL's shop based operations by offering clients a complete package which
eliminates problems at a later stage in a projects life, and gives the client one point of contact throughout.
Shop applied coatings can have transport and installation damage repaired, or further coats applied at site
after erection of the structure, this in turn gives our clients confidence that the project will be supported
from shop to site through to final handover.
Health and Safety is extremely important to MCL and the site division is supported by a full time Health
and Safety Manager. MCL's site operatives receive on-going training and as a minimum hold
CSCS/IPAF/PASMA cards; some operatives also have confined space/forklift/bobcat/first aid training
certificates. MCL are members of the ICATS Training Scheme and are committed to the on-going training
of operatives. MCL have undertaken work as Principal Contractors under the auspice of the CDM
Regulations 2007.
MCL understands the importance of quality and have a full range of inspection equipment which is
supplied by leading equipment suppliers; this ensures that work is carried out in accordance with the
specification requirements. MCL can supply clients with a full inspection documentation package at the
end of the project which can be included in the O&M Manual.

petro-chemical.
